"The most beautiful Church of the Epiphany was built in honor of the miraculous rescue of the young Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich! April 29, 1891 The future Emperor Nicholas II was wounded by an extremist in the Japanese city of Otsu. Restored! The painting of the "Last Supper" is visible along the entire length of the altar wall. Above the "Last Supper" is visible the painting of the "Baptism of the Lord". It is interesting that the banks of the Jordan River depicted in this painting were sketched by the artist Slavtsov from life, that is, during a trip to Palestine.
