"16 hectares of the Stalin's astonishing neoclassicism, featuring cyclopean columns, staircases and fountains with the statues, are partly abandoned but still look magnificent. Because of its architectural richness the place had been one of the movie sets for "Old Khottabych", a popular fantasy film released in 1956. Two buildings of the Soviet era spa resort continue to serve the vacationers. There is even an underground funicular, which sadly is not operating today."
