"Beautiful place"

"This was the first monastery I'd ever visited. Back in 2016, my husband and I went there just for a stroll in Staritsa. We hadn't planned what to see, and we hadn't really researched our destination. The Staritsa Holy Dormition Monastery was the first one we came across, and we were immediately intrigued by its architecture, scale, and location. We visited in February, and there was snow on the grounds. We walked around the entire grounds, stopping everywhere we could. We spent several hours there. We went down somewhere and stumbled upon a pile of bones and skulls. My first instinct was to run away, but curiosity won out, and then we read about the place.
The monastery is vibrant and well-maintained, and on the balcony (probably not that's what it's called) were some of the brothers' underwear, hanging after they'd been washed. It gave us a special feeling of being guests, even though we didn't see many people. We went down to the baptismal font, venerated the holy relics, and examined the inscriptions in the ancient cemetery. Overall, it left a strong impression on me. If I have the chance, I'd be happy to come back. Incidentally, I recently watched a movie called "The Disobedient One," and I recognized some of the scenery."
