The stunning architecture, particularly the Resurrection Cathedral, and the opportunity to explore former ataman residences are highlights. "I live in the northern latitudes of our great country. Every year I come to my native Rostov region, but I have never been to Starocherkassk. I had such an opportunity, which I seized. These guys are just relaxation for the soul and eyes. Handmade craftsmen that any lover of beauty dreams of. Variety and choice. History that you can touch and photograph. Ride horses. Eat delicious food straight from the oven. Of course, there are not enough playgrounds for children. But every adult soul will be touched by the beauty, architecture and history. I advise you to visit the beautiful village."

"The heat crushed us and limited us to a walk to the Maidan and back. They refused the excursion and visit to the museum.
Perhaps in vain.
You caught the atmosphere - the former capital of the Don Cossacks!
It’s interesting to walk through the courtyards where they sell souvenirs. Talk to seasoned sellers - about the price, about life, about the Cossacks.
The houses are both satin and modern. Stylized to look vulgar.
The temples impress with their age, their interior decoration, and the purity of the thoughts that are born after visiting them.
We sat for almost an hour on a bench in the former courtyard of the Efromov atamans.
They say you calmly, but it’s not for nothing that they can make you a Cossack of the Don Army.
Quiet, calm. The breeze blows.
They remembered Mikhail Sholokhov and mentally favored him for his desire to open such an accessible open-air museum for Kazachesiv!)"

"There is a museum, many taverns, a restaurant, a hotel, a church and many other interesting things. There are many souvenir shops (there is a toilet), near the Don, where there are places for swimming and fishing. There is also some for rent. And there is somewhere to park. Great place to visit with family or friends on the weekend."
