What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Beriev Aircraft Museum for its unique collection of aircraft and the passionate, insightful tours provided by the curator. The interactive element, allowing visitors to sit in cockpits, is a major hit, especially with children. However, the requirement for advance booking due to its location within a military garrison can be a significant hurdle, and communication regarding access has been noted as challenging by some.
"Good"
Vadim Pavlov
"I couldn't get into it because it is CLOSED, which is not written anywhere. The museum has a website and a VK group, but I found out about this when I called the contact number, and the lady was rude to me, saying that this was the supply department number, and in general, living in our country, I should have realized myself that in our time, a museum located on the territory of a military unit is closed. As if a group of children would take a plane away😄"

"My father, Vladimir Ilyich Stoyanov, was one of the initiators of this museum's creation. The museum is now 25 years old, and he still works there as its curator. The museum's collection is constantly being expanded. Unfortunately, the museum is located on the grounds of a military garrison, so to access it, you must contact the museum staff in advance (several days before the tour) and obtain permission to visit. Moving the museum's collection outside the military garrison is not possible, as the Taganrog city administration does not have available land for the museum."
