"A great place to relax with family, but better with a group!
Very beautiful nature, mushroom picking, Sholokhov monuments and of course clean air.
I recommend it to everyone!"

"The design for the monument was created in 1957 by sculptor N. V. Mozhaev. E. M. Mozhaeva, V. G. Desyatnichuk, V. I. Voloshin, and G. Kholodny also worked on the monument. The sketches were shown to Mikhail Sholokhov, the author of “Quiet Flows the Don.” The writer made some adjustments to the composition, advising to replace the conical buckets (tsebarki) with cylindrical ones, and the Arabian horse with a Don horse. The design was only brought to life 26 years later. The monument was unveiled opposite the river terminal near the recreation center in Rostov-on-Don in 1983. In 1995, the sculptures of Sholokhov's characters with a total weight of 12 tons were moved to the small homeland of Mikhail Alexandrovich - to the village of Veshenskaya, where the events of the novel took place. A very beautiful place ... There is an embankment nearby. On the embankment there is an alley with lanterns and benches. There is a hotel "Don." Clean and cozy. Breakfast is included in the payment. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We were pleased with the towels for the feet near the shower. The staff is polite. IMPORTANT ... TAKE MOSQUITO REPELLENT WITH YOU. Always carry it with you. The products are sold everywhere inexpensively. The hotel also has a display case with creams and ointments for mosquitoes and midges .. and hygiene products."
