Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Tokarevsky Lighthouse for its picturesque and iconic status, offering dramatic sea views and a unique experience walking the spit at low tide. The historical significance and potential for wildlife sightings add to its charm. However, some find the journey challenging, especially in winter, and note that the lighthouse interior is not accessible.

"Do you believe in winter, I walked almost 45 mins from the last bus stop to here? And walk another 2 hour go back to the hotel, haha! But if you need easy, just take the cab.

In winter scenery really beautiful, but damn cold, please wear the winter coat properly when visit here.

I took a train from Malaysia to Europe. Vladivostok Russia was a transit city in my itinerary. Welcome to follow my YouTube channel [Lonely Railway Explorer] and go through my Malaysia to Europe series to know more this attraction."

Lonely Railway Explorer

"A speck on the map, where the Eurasian continent meets the Pacific ocean, is also known as "Tokarevsky cat" [Tokarevskaya koshka]. The thing is, that in navigation "koshka" used to stand for "a sandbank" and there is an 800 m spit leading towards the lighthouse.
I came to one of the most visited Vladivostok sights by bus and on foot. Got off at the final stop "Mayak"; walking distance from here to the place is about 1.5 km; along the way I was enjoying spectacular nautical views. You can't tell by the pics, but the weather was really storming that day. At some point I had to take off my sneakers to step in water. Yet I got no closer to the lighthouse than in the photo. That simple wide shot was probably the hardest one in my life - literally taken with the smartphone in my teeth as both hands were occupied with footwear and an umbrella. Good memories though!"

"The path to the lighthouse opens and closes over time. When the sea road is closed, you can only see far away from the middle power tower. The scenery is beautiful, but it is noisy because there are many Chinese group tourists. It's a 20-30 minute taxi ride from the office. There are no other tourist points around. 30 minutes and 1 hour is enough to come back from the parking lot to the lighthouse."
