"As is known, the historic Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, built in Tsaritsyn at the beginning of the last century, was destroyed by the Soviet authorities in 1932. The current cathedral, to replace the lost one, was built in 2016-2021, and the cathedral was consecrated on September 19, 2021. It is pleasing that, unlike the cathedrals being restored in other cities, the original appearance of the cathedral has been recreated here, without basements and mind-blowing staircases.
