What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Tereshkova Planetarium offers a visually stunning cosmic experience in its Star Hall, with many visitors praising the immersive dome shows and the dedication to Valentina Tereshkova's legacy. However, some find the museum exhibits to be dated and uninspired, and staff engagement can be inconsistent.
"It's not as big as I thought initially, but it's pretty interesting! There's a constant exhibition with some rocket replicas and stuff astronauts use in space, and also there's an art exhibition with some neat works. The place has a small theater for watching documentaries on space, and the dome of the ceiling is used as a screen - fascinating experience. Also there's a cafeteria and a fun attraction for kids. The planetarium sets up so-called "watching nights" when it offers visitors a chance to peek at the night sky through their telescope. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful!"

"A very overrated place.
The museum is boring and uninformative. To listen to a tour, you need a Q-code, but there's no internet connection in the building. The interactive exhibition is a disgrace to the city, the complex's director, and V. Tereshkova personally.
The models are broken, outdated, and uninteresting.
The staff is frankly indifferent, lazy, and lacking initiative. They even push tickets, not caring about the visitors' experience of the history and the exhibition.
Perhaps when the Tereshkova Educational Center opened, it was something new, important, and motivating, but now it's a backward institution, with a children's level of education, cheap equipment, and negligent staff.
Such a shame... At least fix the basic models and install an audio recording.
St. Petersburg. September 21, 2025."

"Right away the scenario. Come at the opening and there will be parking and tickets. Although it is better to book. Then to the museum. And for one more session. When you go to the planetarium you know exactly what to expect, a beautiful dome of the starry sky with a billion billion billion stars. The cafe is not very good. Shuttle 5D - DO NOT VISIT crap! Better buy magnets. You are visiting the planetarium, so it is better to have a couple of sessions there. Fortunately, they are short. A landmark! A must-see more than once. And the museum is worthy of a separate text. Walk around, look, there is a good collection there, I just did not see any stamps."
