Reviews Summary
This open-air museum is a unique spot for railway enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into historic locomotives. While impressive for its collection, visitors note a lack of signage and amenities, and some have experienced photography restrictions. It's best appreciated by those with a specific interest in railway history.
"I was in the museum with my child. My son was extremely impressed! I looked at everything, touched it, photographed everything. There are not enough signs describing each locomotive. And a guide wouldn't hurt"
Елена Васильева
"I'll give it five points, although, of course, this is not a very adequate rating. The thing is that it’s difficult to call it a museum, and you have to try hard to get to the place. Ekb is not the most welcoming and friendly city in the country. The technology is in a sad state. If you don't do anything, she'll soon be screwed."
Москвич Шоу [Архив]
"If you are not a fan of railway transport and the history of technology, this is not the place for you. For reference, the first electric and diesel locomotives appeared in Russia in the 1920s, isn’t it interesting? There are also large locomotives. Past again. Don't waste your time. The museum is small in the open air. Outskirts of the city. Transport accessibility is poor. Train, then along the pedestrian overpass. You can take the bus and go towards the VIZ pond to the Sortirovka platform and then along the overpass. Or by private car to the Sorting platform. There is no toilet, no cafe."
