"Zheleznovodsk Resort Park is one of the main attractions of the resort town of Zheleznovodsk, located in the Stavropol Territory. Its history began in the 19th century, when the first trees were planted here on the initiative of Doctor Fyodor Gaaz and with the support of General Alexei Ermolov. The park was created as a place for walks and treatment of patients who came to mineral waters. Over time, the territory expanded, and today the park occupies about 200 hectares, covering the slopes of Mount Zheleznaya and adjacent areas. Numerous alleys are laid here, among which the Cascade Staircase stands out - one of the most picturesque areas of the park, decorated with fountains and flower beds. The park is home to oaks, maples, chestnuts, pines and other trees, many of which were planted in pre-revolutionary times. There are also several viewing platforms with views of the Caucasian Mineral Waters and Beshtau. During the Soviet era, the park was improved, new routes, mineral water pump rooms and recreation areas appeared. Today, it is a popular place for walks among tourists and locals, combining natural beauty, historical heritage and modern infrastructure. In the park, you can find pump rooms, gazebos, sculptures and even unusual objects, such as the Book Pump Room dedicated to the works of Lermontov. The park is open all year round, attracting visitors not only in the summer, but also in the winter, when the skating rink is flooded and the alleys are decorated for the New Year. It is easy to get to from anywhere in Zheleznovodsk, and admission is free for everyone."
