"A nice little history here, I thought it was going to be massive, but nicely sized! Read the signs around, will tell you what you it is all about. Great descriptions of the buildings, how they made rum, some of the process equipment is still clearly visible. An eerie feeling walking inside one of the buildings, no one else around except ghosts perhaps. Around the property you can hear a river flowing, birds and trees. Enjoy!"

"We were supposed to stop here and look around. However the tour had a late start, so all we did was a drive by. Since we never got out, these are all photos taken from inside the bus.
This was a sugar plantation when it was set up. If you were able to explore, certain places had plaques explaining what you were looking at. It had an aqueduct which I found interesting for such a remote island.
This was the first settlement in St Kitts and the first land granted in the Caribbean for a British Settlement. This was all prior to 1623 when it was occupied by Carib Chief King Tegreman. It is now home to Old Road Rum."

"Free to enter and walk around the grounds of an old sugar mill. The area was well preserved. You can end your visit at the gift shop, where the rum tasting was $5 (or free with a purchase from the gift shop)."
