What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Anse Mamin Beach is frequently hailed as one of the best, if not the best, beach on the island, praised for its tranquility, beauty, and lack of crowds. Visitors appreciate the clear waters, scenic views, and historical plantation ruins. However, the high cost of renting beach chairs and the challenging road access are recurring drawbacks.
"We stayed in Soufriere and were dropped off by our driver at Anse Chastenet (it is walkable if you like long walks up the hill with a windy road). We then walked the length of the beach, under the cliffs until we ended up at the very end - with a paradise like beach in front of us. The beach has resort loungers which are very expensive to rent for a day, but the sand is perfectly fine. The beach itself was very quiet on the day as we had showers, but they only added to the atmosphere. The sunset was stunning. There's a food outlet on the beach serving burgers made to order and fresh seafood."

"Hands down the best beach on the entire island! Don’t waste your time going to sugar beach, it’s small and over crowded. Make the trek up and down the rocky road for a private, clean, peaceful beach with two shower heads to wash off, 4 bathroom stalls— which the bathrooms are very clean and very nice, and with its own restaurant. Order the burgers or fish tacos from the restaurant. The restaurant is ONLY OPEN from 12-3 so make sure you get the order in by 230. Chairs on the left side of the beach are $66 for the day, chairs on the right side are for the people staying at the resort. $66 for the day is steep but SO WORTH IT. There’s 8 umbrellas with 2 chairs a piece, the most people that have been here on the left side was 3 couples (including me and my husband). No foot traffic, no getting hassled by people wanting to sell you boat rides, or other tours. You’ll occasionally get a party boat pull up and they snorkel off to the left side of the beach. My husband and I have been here since Friday 8/8 and today is 8/14– we’ve been to the beach 4 days in a row paying for chairs everyday $264USD because ITS WORTH IT. We went to sugar beach, La toc beach, vidgie beach, humming bird beach, and reduit beach and we came back here everyday. The people at the gate knew us by the 3rd day “back again?😇”
Please don’t waste your time going anywhere else! ☀️🤌🏼🏝️🇱🇨"

"VERY IMPORTANT The road to get there is long and absolutely sucks. You must have a good car with proper suspension to make it there.
It's probably the best beach on the island. Very few people and very quiet, so you get the full beach experience of sand, sun, waves crashing and ocean breeze.
Beach chairs are owned by the resort, which costs $65 per chair if you want to rent them (despite them being mostly unused).
Nearby bar/restaurant for drinks and burgers are available to non-resort guests. You pretty much get what's on the menu though, so if you're picky about what you want, it will be messed up."
