"If you want to see the true St. Lucian culture then the party is a must visit! The street party happens every single Friday except Good Friday and it starts from after work to about 3 am. Although people start coming after work, it gets busier around 8-9 pm.
It's on one main street in Gros Islet and it's just a vibe. There's a DJ and people dancing in one main area. Surrounding that are tents/bars to buy drinks, souveneirs, and local food as well.
We are not big party people but were so glad we checked it out because it gives a look into the local life and culture. I wouldn't recommend it for people who don't like big crowds and loud music. Or for anyone uncomfortable with alcohol and smoking.
We went end of September so it wasn't as packed. There were a lot more locals than tourists and we were able to walk in and out of the crowds fairly easily. We also found parking just a couple mins away but there are other ways to get there. Either by bus or some hotels offer rides to and from the party."

It isn’t polished or upscale, but that’s part of its charm. For some, especially those seeking quiet or luxury, it might feel chaotic. But that’s also what makes it memorable."
