What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning beauty of Dark View Falls, particularly its two distinct waterfalls and the adventurous trails. The bamboo bridge adds a unique charm, and the opportunity to swim in the refreshing pools is a major highlight. While the drive can be winding, most agree the destination is absolutely worth the journey.
"This waterfall is truly beautiful, its located on the Leeward side of St. Vincent. The drive to get there is a bit winding and lengthy, but absolutely worth it. Once you arrive, you'll find a beautiful waterfall with refreshing water. Although there's no plunge pool at the base, the waterfall is still gorgeous and very powerful. It's just a short two minute walk from the entrance. There’s a cool bamboo bridge that leads you there. The area is well maintained, with a few park benches to sit and enjoy.
There is a second level waterfall with a bigger pool, which unfortunately we did not know about so don't miss out on that."

"Epic. Must visit location. There are 2 waterfalls here and both are wonderful. It's a short walk to get to them however there's a lil excitement attached. Firstly you have to cross a bamboo bridge. Now it's not high up but some people may still be a bit nervous to get on. After crossing the bridge there is a short walk to the first waterfall. Very easy. You then can continue walking until to reach the flight of concrete steps. I didn't count how much steps, but it's enough to make you wonder if the climb is worth it. After reaching the end of the stairs you walk down and cross the river . Very shallow path until you have to climb up some rocks that will take you straight to the 2nd waterfall. On arrival you will realize that it was worth the walk. I would strongly advise that you visit these falls and enjoy what nature has provided us with."

"Walking up to Dark View Falls felt like stepping into a hidden chapter of the island's story.
The moss-drapped rocks and ancient ferns created a cathedral of green, and the roar of water crashing down reminded me how powerful freedom can be.
Arriving on Emancipation Day added a deeper pulse to every drop splashed against the pool below."

To reach the second waterfall, visitors will encounter a more demanding route. This includes a flight of concrete steps that descend and then ascend, followed by a walk across a shallow river. The river crossing is generally straightforward, but the subsequent climb up some rocks requires a bit of agility. It's this adventurous element that many travelers find particularly thrilling and rewarding.
Footwear is crucial for this part of the journey. Sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots with good grip are highly recommended to navigate the uneven terrain, slippery rocks, and wet surfaces. Water shoes are also a great option, especially if you plan to swim in the pools, as they provide traction and protection.
