What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently awed by the historical significance of Uhud Park, particularly its connection to the Battle of Uhud and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The natural beauty of Mount Uhud and the park's recreational spaces are also highly praised. However, some find the abundance of vendors and potentially higher prices for souvenirs to be a drawback.
"The vivid history of Islam is alive in Medina; a history that stands a witness on every incident that occurred, still present with its scenes and the haven of its martyrs.
Today Mount Uhud is overrun with vendors, selling ALL kinds of dates, scarves, beads, fez's etc etc etc. They said that Uhud is the only place where one can find "The Cure of All Diseases" (besides death that is): Black Seed / Oil. Not so though. These miracle healers can be found throughout Saudi. I found them to be very dear at Uhud, like SR50 for a tub of Black Seed Oil vapour rub!!! vis-a-vis SR10 in Madinah central or Makkah!
When you look towards the mountain they say its as if it is red from all the blood shed thousands of years ago. I dunno, hey. Maybe, maybe not.... Either way, ones presence at Uhud, the place where history unfolded, is awe inspiring."
