"Lovely home, fascinating history. Senghor moved into this 1970s home upon leaving the presidency of Senegal. The tour guide worked as a member of Senghor's security team during and after Senghor's presidency, traveling the world with him. The guide does not speak English, but if you can understand French you will learn a wealth of fascinating details about the President and his family's life after leaving office.
The house itself is breathtakingly beautiful, with tapestries and artwork from around the world. The entry fee is about 3000 CFA. This museum is well worth a visit!"

"I was walking along the Corniche and by chance I stopped by to check out this place. Blew my mind! This residence is built in traditional African mud home style and currently serves a museum about the life of the first president of The Republic of Senegal, Leopold Senghor. The interior design was unexpectedly amazing and it carried both African and European characteristics. The staff introduced me the museum section by section in French. As a non-French speaker I caught many words but it only gave me a basic idea of the whole thing. If you plan on visiting here, do some research in advance due to lack of information in English."
