Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Lompoul Desert's mesmerizing beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and unique overnight camping experience. The camel rides and stargazing are frequently highlighted as unforgettable moments. However, some guests have noted the presence of sand mining operations nearby, which can occasionally detract from the tranquility.

"Simple camp in the dunes. Sadly there is a huge sand mining facility next door and you'll hear the beep beep beep of the reversing trucks all night long. Most have been lovely before the mine."

Teresa

"Loved my overnight stay at Lompoul Desert. There are big white tents nestled in the large dunes with comfy beds, a bathroom, and a shower As soon as we arrived we had a very nice lunch of fish, rice, and salad. And then took a camel ride around these amazing dunes. The camels were so elegant and well-behaved. A group of drummers had everyone up dancing before a fabulous meal of vegetable soup, roasted chicken and lamb, sauteed onions, and a tangy sauce over couscous. After dinner, there's a large open fire to stare at while sipping wine. I highly recommend this overnight trip in Senegal."
