What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jajinci Memorial Park is appreciated for its beautiful, serene forest setting and its significant historical importance as a memorial to WWII victims. Visitors enjoy peaceful walks, picnics, and the quiet atmosphere, though some note concerns about litter.
"Whilst unequivocally less known than some other more famous parks in Belgrade like Kalemegdan, Košutnjak or Topčider, it is still a beautiful place to visit.
A Yugoslav era style monument sits in the centre of the park, surrounded by some plateaus and a lush forest teeming with birds whose songs reverberate from the treetops. The memorial was erected in remembrance of the Serbs, Jews and Roma killed during the Second world war by the Nazis.
There is another, smaller monument at the entrance to the memorial park as well.
Aside from being a beautiful place to visit and have a picnic at, there is not a lot of other sites to see, nor a lot of roads for hiking, unfortunately.
Another downside is, to my great dismay, the amount of rubbish littering the ground. Like the rest of the city though, sadly...
So, look up, ignore the ground and try to enjoy the splendour as much as possible. Perhaps, one day, people will clean it up and stop ruining everything..."

"It used to be an amazing place where people could relax and enjoy a day in nature, go for a walk or a run. But now it's garbage everywhere, nature is not being taking care of, so it's pretty disappointing"

"Very quiet and open place to spend quality time with family and kids. There are benches to sit on. Hard cemented court for skating and other kids' activities. Small walking trail is also there through the forest. In summer, you can enjoy the fresh walnuts from the trees. I enjoy going there for peace of mind and to sit at the small hilltop to enjoy the view."
