Reviews Summary

Anse Patates is lauded as a charming, scenic beach with pristine waters and soft sand, offering a peaceful escape. Visitors appreciate the beautiful granite rock formations and excellent snorkeling opportunities on calm days. While small and lacking facilities, its tranquil atmosphere and picturesque setting make it a highly recommended spot on La Digue.

"A charming little beach on the northern end of La Digue, and getting there was half the joy. We cycled up from the main part of the island, and the ride itself was absolutely beautiful, lush greenery, ocean views, and quiet paths. We stopped a couple of times along the way just to take in the scenery and snap a few photos, it’s that picturesque.

The beach itself is small but very scenic, framed by granite rocks and swaying palm trees. It’s a peaceful spot to relax, especially if you’re looking to escape the more tourist-heavy areas. However, it can feel a bit tight during high tide, and there aren’t any nearby facilities, so be sure to bring what you need.

Overall, Anse Patate is a lovely, quiet beach that’s perfect for a relaxing stop during a cycling adventure around La Digue.
A Must visit."

Shilpa Jaiswal

"Excellent beach with preistine water and white soft sand.

best beach for snorkeling 🤿 and cosy lay down for hours and enjoying the never ending waves.."

Mahendra Gandhi

"One of the best beaches we visited across all three islands – Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. It’s small and cozy, with a gentle entry into the sea, crystal-clear water, and great snorkeling opportunities on calm, windless days.

While the space is limited, it becomes even more peaceful and charming in the late afternoon, as the tide comes in and the number of visitors naturally decreases.

A true hidden gem and definitely recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and scenic beach experience."
