What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Digue is celebrated for its stunning, world-class beaches and incredibly laid-back, car-free atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. However, some find the coral reefs have suffered damage, and imported goods lead to higher prices for food and supplies.
"Lovely island but almost dead coral reef :(
Recommend stay: minimum 3 days
It’s so chill and laid back but busy during the weekends and public holidays. Supermarkets are poorely stocked (except for alcohol and snacks). Not many local products, nearly everything is imported and as a result expensive. It’s a good idea to eat at “take aways”. Definitely rent a bike or e-bike if you feel weak. Haggle:) Mostly French tourists. Very clean environment. World class beaches. Rent a kayak and explore the shores, but the kayaking tour is not worth it imho. Definitely take the trekking trail from Anse fourmis to Anse Grande!!"
Karen
"My favorite island from the main island group (Mahe, Praslin, La Digue). Way less people compared to the other two. The main way of transport for tourists is by bicycles, which makes the whole place quiet and with minimal vehicles around. Picturesque exotic, tropical beaches and a bunch of fun activities around - snorkeling, hiking, diving and so on!"

"Beautiful island with the best beaches in the Seychelles. Definitely worth hiring a bike to your round, they are pretty cheap, but may not have been well maintained!!!"
