What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Blue Bay Water Park offers beautiful sea and mountain views and a dedicated children's area, which are highlights for many visitors. However, significant concerns are raised regarding high food prices, inconsistent slide performance due to weak water pressure, and issues with cleanliness and safety in certain areas. Some guests also found the admission pricing for taller children to be unfair.
"Unfortunately, this is one of the worst water parks I've ever been to. The water pressure in the slides is weak, people eat slowly, you have to wait in line for the tubes first, and then for the slide. 2100 rubles for half a day is a lot for such a water park, I only liked one yellow slide with pink tubes, all the others are not very good. Photos at the end can be bought starting from 500₽."

"This is a fabulously beautiful place. The views from the park are wonderful, of the sea and Mount Koshka. The slides are great. The water is clean. The staff is polite and friendly. The children's area was a joy. My daughter really liked the children's pool with slides. The older children had their fill of riding and running around on all the slides. The lifeguards are on guard. Well done, guys. My husband and I also rode the slides. Special thanks for the discount for large families. And a huge thank you to the organizers of the raffle for gift tickets on the Yalta embankment! I won a ticket for myself there! Don't read bad reviews and don't believe them. Cool water park and Semeiz - love and a fairy tale! Thank you very much!"

"Disgusting place. Visitors smoke not only vapes, but also regular cigarettes. Drink drinks they brought with them.
There is no organization of workers. Boys pick at the whistles given to them.
Giggle with friends who are apparently relaxing in this place. They spit and blow their noses right there on the path where children walk, and often barefoot, since they don’t slide down in slippers. Ugh. Blewontin.
Only girls work normally, and that’s due to their personal organization.
There is no pressure on the slides. They don’t go. At the same time, the same guys-workers let little ones on the adult slides too.
A nightmare!
Complete crap!
Attitude - too. They don’t monitor safety.
I don’t recommend."

Navigating the Slides and Attractions
Beyond the slides, the park boasts a dedicated children's area, complete with its own pool and smaller slides, which is a significant draw for families with younger children. The beautiful natural surroundings, offering stunning views of the Black Sea and Mount Koshka, provide a pleasant backdrop to the park's attractions. Despite some criticisms, the scenic location is consistently praised.
It's worth noting that some visitors have reported issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of slides, describing them as dirty and rusty. While the water itself is reported as clean by some, others have had a different experience. Visitors should manage their expectations regarding the intensity and condition of all attractions.
Understanding Park Policies and Costs
Admission pricing can also be a point of contention. While there are typically different rates, some reviews mention that children over a certain height (140 cm) are charged the full adult price, even if they are restricted from using certain slides. The park does offer discounts for large families and local residents, which can help mitigate the overall expense for eligible visitors.
Parking is an additional cost, which some guests find illogical given they are already paying for park entry. The overall impression from reviews suggests that while the park offers attractions and scenic views, the associated costs for food, drinks, and potentially admission can make it an expensive outing.
Safety and Cleanliness Concerns
While lifeguards are present, some visitors have expressed doubts about their attentiveness and the overall safety supervision within the park. There have also been reports of visitors smoking, including regular cigarettes, and consuming outside beverages, which detracts from the family-friendly atmosphere and potentially poses health risks.
Cleanliness of the slides themselves has also been questioned, with descriptions of them being dirty and rusty. Some guests have reported falling ill after visiting the park, though the direct cause is not always specified. These issues collectively contribute to a negative perception of the park's upkeep and safety standards for some visitors.
