What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise art studios for their welcoming atmosphere, patient instructors, and the enjoyable creative process. Many highlight the therapeutic benefits and the satisfaction of creating their own artwork, even with no prior experience. Some minor points of feedback include occasional waits for instructor assistance and the need for clear communication on canvas sizes.
"I had such a fun time at Artify Studio! The place feels cozy and welcoming, with plenty of refreshments and the instructor, Jae, is friendly and patient. She guides you along if you are feeling stuck but also gives you the freedom to paint in your own style, which I loved. Everything you need (canvas, paint, brushes etc) is provided, so you can just relax and enjoy the session.
I walked away not only with a painting I’m proud of, but also feeling refreshed and inspired. Definitely recommend Artify Studio if you’re looking for a chill, creative way to spend a few hours!"

"Love the experience. I came alone just to try out their guided art jam session. Everyone in the class seems to know one another lol, some came with their friends, others are probably long time students, etc. It was my first time going for such an activity. I didn't have any experience in painting whatsoever haha, just wanted to try something different. The instructor was quick and very clear in her direction to create the artwork. I was left to do the artwork alone, and I truly like how I have my own space to work on the art, no pressure. (it's not like a tutor will sit beside you while you draw, lol). I got lost sometimes when I completed certain steps in the artwork and had to wait for the instructor because one instructor jumps around several students, but that's alright for me. Canvas and Paints were provided, including what colour to use etc, so that's worth the money. I was asked to choose a reference to follow in creating the artwork. Each reference requires different kinds of technique (lol didn't know that at first), I ended up creating the artwork using a sponge to make the background effect, which was cool. The whole session was 2hr 30mins but I exceeded slightly more than that, haha. Thankfully we're not forced to stop working lol. I definitely recommend coming to try some art painting, and it is always good to ask how the artwork is created first before deciding what to paint so you get the rough idea of the painting process (and challenges), and also ask what canvas size is available before you start (I was given the largest one lol). I got to bring back my artwork but now I have no idea where to put it, haha. One advice for first timer, pls wear socks or use their slippers, no shoes allowed lol - I didn't know that."

Exploring Different Art Mediums
These specialized workshops provide a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and experiment with different materials. Whether you're interested in the earthy feel of clay, the precise lines of printmaking, or the fiery transformation of glass, there's an art studio experience waiting for you. Many studios emphasize the learning process, making it accessible even for absolute beginners.
When considering these mediums, remember that some, like glass blowing, might require more specialized facilities and safety precautions. Always check the studio's offerings and any prerequisites before booking. The joy of creating something tangible and unique, whether it's a painted ceramic bowl or a hand-pulled print, is incredibly rewarding.
Art for Kids: Nurturing Young Talent
The benefits extend beyond just learning to draw or paint. Children's art classes help improve fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and emotional expression. The studios provide a safe and supportive environment where kids can experiment freely without fear of judgment. Parents often notice a significant improvement in their child's artistic abilities and overall confidence after attending these classes.
When choosing an art class for your child, look for studios that emphasize fun and exploration. Consider their age group and interests. Some studios might offer themed workshops or holiday camps, providing even more opportunities for creative engagement. The ability to bring home a unique creation almost every week is a wonderful motivator for young artists.
The Art of Relaxation: Guided Sessions
The atmosphere in these studios is typically welcoming and cozy, with refreshments often provided to enhance the experience. It's a chance to unwind after a long day, de-stress, and engage in a mindful activity. The focus is on the process and enjoyment, rather than just the final product. When booking a guided session, consider the type of painting you'd like to create. Studios often have a selection of reference artworks to choose from, each requiring different techniques. Don't hesitate to ask instructors about the process beforehand to ensure you pick a project that suits your interest and comfort level. Wearing comfortable clothing is key, as you might get a little paint on yourself! :tshirt:
