What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kallang Ice World is Singapore's sole ice rink, offering a unique experience but with mixed reviews. While many enjoy the novelty and fun of skating, common criticisms include the condition of rental skates, the ice surface, and inconsistent staff service. Visitors often recommend bringing your own equipment and being prepared for potential queues.
"Quite an old ice skating rink. It’s currently the only one in Singapore. Costs around 20SGD per 2h session. There are square lockers to use, but most people just leave their bags and shoes along the bench. They have hockey and figure skates, but do bring your own as they’re all dull. If you’re a new skater, they do have some metal frames at the side to use."

"I’m really disappointed with my experience here, especially since this is the only ice skating rink left in Singapore.
I rented a pair of figure skates and they turned out to be damaged and unsafe. The ankle support was leaning completely to one side (despite tying it super tight) when I stepped onto the ice. I went back to ask for a new pair, but the staff (chinese man in the picture) refused to change it for me even though there were plenty on the shelves right behind him. He kept saying I could only switch to another size or just stick with the same pair because “they’re all the same.” I get that the size is the same, but if the pair is clearly faulty and dangerous, why can’t I just try another one? I asked him four times and he still wouldn’t take a few steps to get me a proper pair.
Really disappointed with the service here. Hope the management looks into improving the staff attitude and support."

"The price for adult + rental figure skates was $20 Singapore, expensive for such a small rink and its soft ice surface, dull blades. I came on Tuesday at session 2 and the staff was really passionated with me cause I wanna change the gloves and change the skates, and tell them to unlock the entry door so my mom can give things for me.
I saw many bad rates and mostly about the staffs' attitude so I recommend you guys to buy ticket on the machine that opposite to the ticket counter."
