Reviews Summary

Raffles Place MRT is a vital and well-managed transport hub, praised for its connectivity and the convenience of its underground walkways. While it can be extremely crowded during peak hours, its extensive exits and nearby amenities make it a functional and vibrant part of Singapore's CBD. Some travelers have noted occasional maintenance issues and the need for clear communication regarding accessibility.

"The Singaporean lady at the ticket office did a lot more than she was assigned to do. She helped me to top up my exlink card, she was so kind."

Aventisin

"Maintenance at 9.34am at the platform on a Wednesday morning? I get it is rush hour (is 9.34am rush hour?), and all escalators were directed up for people heading up and out. I have seen elderly have to climb down the stairs at this hour, cos even I have no idea where to get an elevator to go to the station gate.

What was worst was a station staff signaled to me (who had injured both my feet recently) and an elderly lady that we could not ride the elevator down to the platform (after entering the gate). Was he serious??

Rush hours can be bad, but discriminating everyone who needs to catch a train out of raffles place station is just not acceptable. ."

Theresa H

"Still one of the main stations here in Singapore. As one of the 2 main interchanges for as long as Singapore's MRT system has been around, the Raffles Place MRT station brings many working class Singaporeans into the CBD each morning, and back out at night. It is an MRT station that just works, and is very well managed.

Thoroughly enjoy the underground tunnel and shops that SMRT has since created, allowing people to walk underground through to MBFC, rather than having to weather the humid outdoors of Singapore."

What People Like
