What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tiong Bahru Bakery is widely praised for its exceptional, flaky croissants and innovative pastries, with many highlighting the delightful ambiance, especially at the Fort Canning Park location. While some patrons note a perceived drop in quality post-expansion and find certain items pricey, the outstanding service, particularly from staff like Nancy, often elevates the overall experience.
"The food was overall pretty good. The chocolate pastry was mostly plain, kinda not worth it being $7. It was 95% puff and 5% chocolate. Very stingy…. The almond pastry was pretty sweet and tasty. The staff here are nice. Definitely worth coming for teabreak."

"I came here for a quick breakfast, expecting a mediocre meal. However, I was pleasantly surprised because o had ordered the breakfast with a crouffle(?) and some portobello mushrooms which was absolutely amazing! There was also a sweet, croissant like bread. It was sweet and perfectly tasty! Everything was delicious with the exception of the dark cherry matcha. It was oddly foamy and the taste wasn’t as matcha-y as i had expected. Other than that, the meal was pretty good! I would definitely come back again-but without matcha."

"This is my repeat visit to the outlet at Raffles City because of the warm and welcome service by the staff Ms Nancy. Her friendliness and helpfulness are beyond the standard service. Tiong Bahru cafe has other outlets but this sone is the best. Not only Nancy but the short hair staff at the counter I believe must be the manager is also very helpful. She is pro-active and offers her service instead of even ask. Ms Nancy deserves a promotion as she successfully carries your brand to a good name. My last wish is...I hope you will be a Halal certified F&B so that I can bring all my Muslim friends, family and relatives to come and enjoy the great food and drinks tha you serve here...❤️"
