What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mullet Bay Beach is widely praised for its beautiful soft sand and clear, calm waters, making it ideal for swimming and relaxing. Visitors appreciate the convenience of beach bars and food vendors, with Rosie Snack Bar being a local favorite. However, some find it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and cruise ship days, and the waves can occasionally be rougher than expected.
"Nice relaxing beach. I was here during the off season. But the nevertheless the vibes were definitely there. Water sports were available. There was also restaurants and bars as well on the beach."
Erika
"It is a nice beach, but neither as beautiful nor as calm as portrayed online. However, it does give nice views and is not very crowded."
Kyle Fields
"This beach is wonderful for its soft sand and calm clear waters...and SNORKELING! This time however just standing in the surf proved quite rough as there were large waves near the shore, that was challenging for some people as they were being knocked off their feet. We have been coming to this beach for years and have never seen waves like this. We learned to avoid crowds at this beach by never going on a weekend or a weekday when cruise ships are in port.
If you are cruising, then this beach is an easy destination for your port of call. We usually rent chairs and umbrella in front of Rosie Snack Bar (locals). The food (chicken, ribs, plantains and rice)from Rosie’s is wonderful! There are several other places along the beach where chairs and umbrellas can also be rented. There are several water sport rentals located in the middle of the beach, and often the bay is used by several catamaran operators. What's amazing to me is the lack of underwater pics for this bay in other reviews so I attached some. Snorkeling can be great at both ends of the bay, along the cliffs. You may see french angle fishes, blue tang, foureye butterfly fish, porcupine fish, grunts, snappers, trunkfishs, sargent majors, spanish hogfish, parrot fishs, wrasses, bar jacks, palometa, squids, octupus, coral and cushion stars (starfish)."
