"The Mestska veza, also called the City Gate is a six-storey Gothic style gate of the old fortifications of the town gate and built in the 15th century. It was a Sunday when I came to Trencin and the tower was closed, so I didn't get a chance to climb it. It looks okay. The current structure makes clear the original function as the gate of a fortified wall. There’s a clock now at the top of the tower, but other than that, there's not much to see."

"A lovely place, with an amazing view. You can go to the top of the tower which is amazing, especially for a few pennies so an amazing view"
