Reviews Summary
Freedom Square is celebrated for its massive, fun-filled fountain, especially popular with families during warmer months. Visitors enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, spontaneous dance gatherings, and ample space for picnics. While its brutalist architecture is noted as unique rather than conventionally beautiful, the square offers a nostalgic charm and a vibrant community feel, all for free.
"Beautiful and spacious place with plenty of areas to have a drink.
The water fountain and the flow of the water make it a perfect place for children to play. The water smells of chlorine so is clearly a recreational place in the hot weather.
Many children having fun here on a hot day"

"Absolutely loved this place! The water fountain is beautiful and kids (including big kids 😜) have so much fun splashing in the water. It's clean and well cared for.
Plenty of grassy areas to sit with a picnic and local cafe / bar to buy food and drinks. Toilets are able to be used too without a fuss. Small amount of play equipment for children.
The vibe is so relaxed and whilst there we enjoyed dance lessons .... SO many people joining in, it was fabulous.
Can't ask for much more and totally FREE!!"

"Good large open space to be enjoyed by all. The fountain wasn't running when we visited but then it was cold and March time of year. I'd imagine that it's a busy and even better place to visit in the warmer months.
Great restaurant here too , food was wine were fabulous"
