What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Jesuit Church for its stunning Baroque interior, particularly the detailed iconostasis and beautifully carved wooden confessionals. Its prime location in Bratislava's Old Town makes it an easily accessible and highly recommended stop for its historical and artistic significance.
"The Church of the Holy Savior is a must visit when you are in Bratislava. In the city center near the fountain and the old square, close to the city museum. Fantastic iconostasis and icons with deep biblical motifs. It was a holiday and there were many pilgrims who were praying and sitting in the cathedral. Also, I am delighted with the place for confession, ie. the confessional, which is made of beautiful wood, carved and carries the wonderful spirit of the past."

"Amazing! The Jesuit Church (Kostol jezuitov) is a Roman Catholic church in the Slovakian capital Bratislava. It is located in the old town, at Franziskanerplatz No. 4, directly opposite the Old Town Hall on the corner of the main square. It is dedicated to the Most Holy Savior, which is why it is also called the Church of the Redeemer or the Church of Salvator (Kostol Najsvätejšieho Spasiteľa). The Church is definitely worth to visit, especially during Christmas time!"
