Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Košice Market Hall Tržnica for its authentic local produce, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and artisanal honey. Many appreciate the opportunity to buy directly from farmers and enjoy the lively atmosphere. However, some note that the market isn't very large and can be a bit off the beaten track, with a limited selection compared to bigger city markets.

"Not very large and found when I went down the side streets so off the beaten track but I am glad that I found it the market it self is not very big and there was fresh veg and lots of honey on sale there is a few cafes dotted along the road to stop off at it is just a shame that kosice dies not have,a big market day"

"I'd call this a farmers' market, rather than a flower market. Its sellers primarily offer fruit and veg, with some selling honey, jams and cordials, eggs, meats, cut flowers and even occasionally soft toys and children's clothes. Nowadays you can also buy plants for your garden.

Most sellers offer their home-grown produce, though others sell items they bought in a supermarket (but it's usually easy to tell).

You can get very good deals here, though it also helps if you can speak some Slovak or Hungarian.

One thing to note: it starts very early and finishes by midday."
