What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Lectar Gingerbread Workshop and Museum offers a unique experience, particularly for groups, with its traditional Slovenian restaurant and gingerbread demonstrations. While the workshop and museum are best suited for organized tours and can be underwhelming for solo visitors, the restaurant provides a lively atmosphere and memorable dining, especially with live music. Be mindful of potentially inconsistent hours and pricing for individual items.
"A small but cute museum in Radovljica. The museum is downstairs and displays persevered gingerbread from 35 years ago. Their gingerbread is designed to be kept for up to 3 years a souvenir but can be eaten within 6 months. The restaurant is on the ground floor and looks like a lovely place to dine"

"Seems like a really cute place but their website is misleading. Tours only seem to be available for groups, with no indication of minimum group size requirement. They wouldn’t offer a tour for a single person, which is fair enough but they need to make this clear on the website. The workshop is nice to look at but without the context of a tour there isn’t much to be learned from the experience. Was looking for something to do on a rainy day near Bled and this was unfortunately a wasted journey!"

"Eat dinner here. It was amazing. We ate here as a big group and the service was excellent, the food was fun, and the atmosphere was memorable. It was one of my favorite dinners in this part of the world because of the atmosphere."
