What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Triple Bridge and Ljubljana's Old Town for their fairy-tale charm and picturesque beauty. The area is lauded for its vibrant atmosphere, especially along the Ljubljanica River, and the architectural significance of Plečnik's designs. While generally loved, some find the area can become quite crowded during peak times.
"Iconic spot in Ljubljana! The Three Bridges, redesigned by Jože Plečnik, perfectly link the old town with the modern side. A must see and great for photos"
J
"One of the most unique and iconic architectural landmarks in Ljubljana, the bridge consists of three adjacent bridges set side by side. The central stone bridge was built in 1842, replacing an earlier wooden structure and originally intended for vehicular traffic. In 1932, architect Jože Plečnik added two side bridges for pedestrians. Today, all three bridges are pedestrian-only, forming a graceful connection between Prešeren Square and the Old Town. With classical stone railings, elegant street lamps, and Plečnik’s distinctive decorative touches, the bridge is a harmonious blend of function and beauty. It is stunning by day, but becomes even more magical at night, when the lights of the city reflect on the Ljubljanica river below."
