"Marietka gave us a really thoughtful and engaging tour of the beautifully preserved synagogue. She is very knowledgeable and shared so much about the history of Jewish life in the region it was very eye-opening. Even though Jews were expelled from Maribor back in medieval times, this space remains so important to remember and reclaim that history. We're really glad we stopped by."

"An ancient synagogue from the Middle Ages. There is not much to see, but it is part of the simplicity of synagogues from that time. We got into a fascinating conversation with a researcher who works there, and I recommend everyone to talk to whoever is there, to hear a little about the history of the Maribor Jewish community."
