"Our favourite beach during our visit to Cape Town. One thing was that it was a lot less crowded than the likes of Camps Bay or any of the other beaches. We also felt a lot safer, and weren't constantly being bothered by beach vendors trying to flog their wares. It is a magnificent beach. A long beach with white sand and blue water. It was spotlessly clean. Muizenberg is Surfer's Corner after all, so you can expect a lot of people in the water, surfing or swimming. We visited out of tourist season and so it was relatively empty. There are plenty of cafés, coffee shops and restaurants across the road. Parking can be a bit of an issue during busy times, and signs indicated that thieves do operate in the area targeting the vehicles. But we saw policemen patrolling the street on a regular basis. The views are simply stunning. And the Shark Spotters Information Centre is somewhere you must visit and take you kids along with you! The folks at Shark Spotters are so friendly and will gladly explain what they do to keep bathers safe and help dispel some of the myths about these fantastic creatures and the reason why white shark conservation is so important."
