"We went in October. There were a few flowers in bloom. However, the location cannot be beat. We drove to the reserve and then walked to the riverfront, which was maybe a 15 minute walk.
The reserve itself was a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. Most of the paths were shaded. It had a great lookout, and we did almost all of the reserve in an hour. I highly recommend this reserve to tourist and locals. Price was R30 for adults."
Jennifer Lunn
"The access gate was a little difficult to find but hard working, friendly volunteers working to maintain great flora in a small reserve. Paths are easy to follow as your R30 entrance fee includes a map. A couple of interesting birds and birdcalls in an hour's walk."
Geoff Pyle
"Such a tranquil treasure to visit...excited to see on-going improvements and plant identification in the works. Also enjoyed seeing a school from Fort Beaufort in the Eastern Cape experience the view from the top."
