What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Nizamiye Mosque for its stunning architecture, which offers a genuine taste of Turkish culture and design in Johannesburg. The authentic Turkish cuisine and the peaceful ambiance of the complex are also frequently highlighted as major draws. Some visitors note that it can get busy, especially during events.
"The Turkish Mosque in Johannesburg is truly impressive. The mosque is very spacious and beautifully designed. It also has convenient facilities such as clean restrooms, shops, restaurants, and a parking area, making it comfortable for visitors and families. A wonderful place for prayer and community gatherings."

"The Nizamiye Mosque, also known as the Turkish mosque, is a beautiful place of worship. It has, however, also become a "tourist" attraction. It is huge and has a few shops and restaurants that you can grab a bite at or get a gift for a loved one. There is also a play area for the kids which makes for a nice cute family outing. We went there during ramadhaan and there were a lot of stalls to choose from. It did get quite packed though so if you do not have a booking at a restaurant be sure to pack food or else you will be like me and end up eating a sweet because all the places were back logged. I think it's a beautiful place to visit but perhaps not when it's quite busy"

"Beautiful mosque built on Turkish architecture. Very well maintained and spacious. Facilties like clinic, school, restaurants within the complex. Went there for Eid prayer. And was an amazing experience."
