Syringa Park is a highly recommended outdoor destination, especially for families, offering a wide range of activities from a large kids' play park to go-karting and hiking trails. Visitors appreciate the pet-friendly environment and diverse food options. However, the park's outdoor nature means weather is a significant factor, and some find the hiking trail signage could be improved.
"A year end function was had in the top VIP area of this venue. Beautiful space could accommodate 160 pax seated. Space for a DJ booth and a Corona bar for drinks. Also had a raise platform more space.
Needed cleaning staff for the upstairs function. Waiters seem a little inexperienced.
Great space for kids and if you wanted to get outdoors.
Kids can run around in the fitness area where you can pay - you can also host parties there lots of seating.
For the older kids there is also Go Karting. A kiddies smaller playground
Bathrooms were a bit of a walk. It’s an open venue so bring s umbrella during raining season. Also you can hike and walk your dog. There were about 19 food and drinks vendors you can choose from. Not all were open. Even the Corona bar overlooking the grounds was a nice touch where people can gather. A stage for performing artists. It looks like still a lot is to be done is this space."

"Good spot for kids, and for sure some adults. Jungle gyms and bounce balls catering for kids of all ages, No pool, but there is a On the ground water fountain/Sprinkle where kids can play with water. Lots of food options , Hiking trails, Scooter Hires and Ho Karting. Went on a Sunday which seemed to be a quieter day (after other reviews said it can get full)."

"A lovely outing spot for all ages! Syringa Park delivers on the promise of a relaxed countryside day just outside Johannesburg. The large, tree-lined grounds feel very peaceful, perfect for a stroll or letting the kids run free. The play park is impressive and keeps the little ones entertained for hours. The food on offer is varied and tasty, and there are plenty of shaded spots to sit and enjoy your meal while watching the world go by.
The vibe leans family-friendly and casual — you’ll want to bring comfortable clothes and make a day of it. One tip: if you’re heading in with kids, plan to stay a couple of hours so you can try both the play area and grab a meal. If you go on a quieter weekday it’ll feel even more relaxed.
Overall: Highly recommend for a weekend outing with family or friends. 👍"
