Visitors praise the North Cascades for its breathtaking natural beauty, especially the vibrant turquoise lakes and stunning mountain vistas. The golden larch season in autumn is a major highlight, drawing many photographers and hikers. However, some find the limited services and unpredictable weather challenging, and popular spots can get crowded during peak times.

"Cabanas Hotel is absolutely beautiful and truly feels like a luxurious getaway! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The hotel is spotless and well-maintained, with lovely décor and a relaxing atmosphere.

One of the highlights was definitely the warm swimming pool — perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Everything about the place feels carefully thought out to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Highly recommend Cabanas Hotel to anyone looking for a mix of comfort, style, and exceptional service. I can’t wait to visit again!"

"This hotel is definitely not a 5 star. The room was so outdated! We stayed in room 116. Amenities offered in the room was average and poor quality. The mattress on the roll out bed was old, broken and so thin my son woke up with a sore body because he could feel the poles holding the mattress. I thought we were in the non-smoking part of the hotel but the corridor smelt of cigarettes every day and the smell came into our room! Yet we were told this is the family section. Breakfast was 3/5 stars nothing wonderful. The pool was closed for its annual maintenance and only option given was to use Cabanas hotel. (You would need to take a transfer to get there) The hotel and rooms are so run down and old it really needs a refresher. Definitely won’t be back."

Cindy De Wee

"Upon arriving, rooms are not ready for check in. Linen hasn't been changed. Really shocking. Definitely not 5 star…. We are left waiting outside our room with our luggage."
