"Very pleasant setting in the middle of Fourways. Huge lawns, plenty of covered tables on the lawns. The service is very good, plenty of waiting staff, we were served by many different waiters and did not have to wait for service. The menu is reasonably limited, which is always good from my perspective. I had the toasted chicken mayo on sour dough, very good. My wife had the smoked salmon salad, plenty of salmon and a good dish. Wine list is decent and has enough to satisfy most people. The manor does have an interesting history and it is very interesting to take a walk through the house. All in, a good day out, good food and good service. Worth a visit."

"Completely list its charm with all the gazebos ( car ports) structures up all over the lawn now!! You cannot even see the beautiful cape Dutch manor house from the lawn anymore… incredibly hot under the gazebos as-well. Plants and creepers over wood or Lacey metal gazebos would have been a better choice in keeping with the theme! Service still slow."

"Upon arriving no one was present there to greet and be directed to seating. Menus were provided but upon ordering we were told sorry that and this cannot be ordered due to loadshedding I mean come on when we were provided with the menus better communication would of gone a long way! Another lady was complaining about slow service too so it seems this is the norm. Drank my horrible unnatural juice and aksed for the bill which ended up wasting another 15 minutes... Perhaps it was just one of those days but 1 star for now."
