"I am writing this with a heavy heart on the 13 of November around 10:30 am I had a ride.I asked the driver to charge my phone when I got off the car I forgot my phone, after 5 minutes I call my phone it rings with no answer.I reported on the app the response was no missing item found.Details of the driver -Licence plate(HR06RYGP) SIHLE TERRANCE.

The driver stole my phone may you please take serious further actions against this because I need my phone,I am not going to stop fighting.

"Extortion Attemp & Theft.

Using convenient services like Uber Eats to handle grocery shopping and delivery is incredibly helpful, and usually, the process works smoothly. However, a major problem arises when things go wrong, and the system fails to take responsibility.
​On this occasion, I placed an order with Waterkloof Spar using Uber Eats for delivery. What followed was a complete breakdown of service:
​Delivery Interruption and Extortion Attempt: I was contacted repeatedly by the Uber Eats driver, despite my address being clearly provided through the app. Moments later, the driver outright stated they would not complete the delivery unless I paid them additional cash directly. This is completely unacceptable and violates the service agreement.
​Unaccounted Charges and Non-Delivery: While I was able to successfully cancel one of the affected orders, a separate, associated order was also not delivered to me. Despite this, the full amount for the non-delivered second order was deducted from my bank account.
​The Failure of Accountability: The core of the issue is the complete lack of accountability from all parties involved. Spar was undoubtedly paid for the goods, but I, the customer, have received neither the groceries nor a refund.
​Uber Eats has not effectively managed the rogue driver behavior or ensured the delivery/refund process worked.
​Waterkloof Spar has been paid but seems unwilling or unable to intervene to help resolve the situation, even though their reputation is tied to the service provider they use.
​In summary, a paying customer was effectively charged for goods that were never received, following an attempted shakedown by the delivery agent, and now no entity—neither the retailer (Spar) nor the delivery platform (Uber Eats)—is taking responsibility for correcting the fraudulent charge and non-delivery. This lapse in service and accountability is a significant concern

"I am writing to formally report a distressing and potentially dangerous incident involving an Uber driver by the name of Pule Reginald, whom I requested to drop off my son’s school bag at [Acts House of Education ].

Despite my clear instructions for the bag to be dropped off directly at the school, the school confirmed they never received it. I subsequently logged the item as missing on the Uber app and reached out to the driver to establish where the bag had been left. In response, Mr. Reginald was aggressive and intimidating, which I consider bullying.

I requested that he return to the school to clarify whom he had left the bag with. When contacted, he initially claimed not to know his location. Upon arrival at the school, he refused to come inside to explain himself or apologise to the staff for his accusations. Instead, he threw the bag at my son and became verbally abusive.

Most alarmingly, Mr. Reginald made xenophobic threats against me, including stating that he knows where I live and that he would come to my home. He began smoking on school premises, continued making threats, and displayed aggressive behaviour in front of witnesses including church members and school staff who can corroborate my account.

As I write this, I fear for my safety and the safety of my family. I am requesting that urgent action be taken against this driver for:
• Harassment and verbal threats
• Xenophobic hate speech
• Aggressive behaviour on school property
• Refusal to cooperate in resolving a delivery issue
• Threats to my life and home

Please treat this as a formal complaint and a safety issue. I am prepared to escalate this further with the South African Police Service if necessary. Kindly acknowledge receipt of this message and advise on the next steps to ensure my safety and that of my child."
