What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sandy Bay is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil, secluded atmosphere, making it a favorite for those seeking a clothing-optional experience. However, visitors should be prepared for the challenging hike, the very cold water, and the lack of amenities. Concerns about voyeurs and safety on the access paths are also noted.
"Beautiful beach, sumptuous landscape, fine sand, crystal clear emerald and cold water but the bravest will swim.
Renowned for being a nudist beach, quite frequented on weekends by groups or couples, healthy atmosphere.
On the other hand, many voyeurs are present, always in perpetual movement to satisfy the inclinations.
I can only recommend this beach to practice nudism if you are not disturbed by a voyeur masturbating. On the other hand, I do not advise a single woman to go."

"My favourite beach in Cape Town! This nude beach is secluded, tranquil, and beautiful. There is a short 15 minute walk from the parking lot to reach the beach but well worth it."

"A beautiful secluded nude beach. The beach requires a decent walk to get there, up then down a hillside path. The path is made clear fortunately. Be prepared to walk, I surely recommend good footwear. Once we arrived I swam nude and enjoyed the sun. The beach is very pretty and bigger than what I expected. I am happy that Cape Town has a nudist friendly area to enjoy! I highly recommend"
