What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Muratie Wine Estate is lauded for its stunning historical setting and award-winning wines, offering a unique step back in time. While the food receives high praise, some visitors note that service can be slow due to staff capacity. Despite this, the charming atmosphere and rich heritage make it a highly recommended destination for wine lovers.
"The setting is truly beautiful and creates a wonderful first impression. Unfortunately, the service did not match the atmosphere. When we arrived, several staff members walked past us without greeting or offering assistance, which left us feeling a little overlooked. After being seated, we waited for quite some time without receiving any attention or even the chance to taste the wines, which was disappointing given the reputation of the venue.
On a positive note, the car guard at the entrance was exceptionally warm and welcoming — his friendly approach stood out as the highlight of our visit.
Overall, the location has great potential, but the guest experience could be significantly improved with more attentive and engaging service."

"To be clear the food is good, and the wine is amazing, but service can be alot better. It's a capacity issue because the waiters are friendly and welcoming but there's not enough of them, which kinda impacts the experience when you're waiting for something to drink and you're thirsty. To reiterate, everything else is great 🍻"
