"Stopped at Yeosu for only a day. Our hotel is in Dolsan-do. Yeosu Port is beautiful. Visited Impo Maeul Village where the Hyangiram Sunrise Festival (held on New Year eve) and Hyangiram Hermitage r located. We drove on Dolsan Bridge & stopped at Geobujseon Turtle Ship for photos. Then we went to Yeosu Railbike and Manseong-ri black sand beach."

"A great replica of the Turtle battleship devised and used by Korean Hero Admiral Yi Shun Shing. With these ships he defeated great numbers of invading fleets of ships even when he was vastly outnumbered. The replica is realistic with many figurines n enactments in its interior. A depiction of the interior of such battleship which showcases the weapons such as cannons, ship’s storage areas, sleeping quarters, Captan’s Room/Bridge etc. Rather interesting display n the fee charged is very reasonable. Unfortunately the displays which explain the battles n events are in Hangul/Korean language but one can still enjoy the exhibit. Tip- The exhibit is on land n easily accessible!"
