Visitors consistently praise Cha-Teul for its authentic traditional Korean atmosphere, delicious teas, and charming desserts. The kind and graceful service, coupled with the serene ambiance of the hanok house, makes it a highly recommended spot for a peaceful cultural experience in Bukchon Hanok Village. Some mention it can get crowded, especially on weekends.

"During our trip to South Korea with my beloved son, we visited this lovely traditional Korean tea house near the exit of Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul — and absolutely loved it!

The place was bright, spacious, and decorated with charming, authentic Korean architectural elements. You take off your shoes at the entrance and sit on floor cushions, which adds to the traditional experience.

We tried the lotus tea served in a small glass teapot — it was so delicate and fragrant. Alongside it came sweet honey rice cakes, which were a perfect match.

The Korean lady who took care of us was so graceful, kind, and welcoming. We actually wanted to visit again the next day (Tuesday), but sadly it was closed.

Thank you for such a beautiful experience! 🫖🪷💛"

"Beautiful tea-house in the Bukchon Village. Book in advance so as not to be disappointed. We had a private room to ourselves, and the girls looking after us were amazing. Highly recommended, and a wonderful place to experience a traditional tea experience. We ordered 4 completely different flavors and it was incredible how different to tastes were."

"The place is definitely filled with people and there are plenty of people queuing to go in, especially on weekends. It's a very very nice place with good service. They serve very simple basic stuff like tea and traditional Korean dessert. Their dried orange with sugar is my favourite, a great recommendation by the super nice dude at the front counter. Atmosphere is really nice and I think you can catch very nice sunsets from the restaurant."
