What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Seoul cooking classes for their engaging instructors, authentic culinary insights, and delicious results. Many highlight the personal and intimate class settings, the variety of dishes prepared, and the generous portions that often include leftovers. The experience is frequently described as fun, inspiring, and a highly recommended cultural immersion.
"Hands down, this was one of the best cooking classes I've ever taken. My partner and I, and another couple joining the class, had an incredibly fun time at Seoul's Cooking Club—it was truly excellent.
The teacher was phenomenal: super welcoming, genuinely helpful, and packed the class with authentic insights into Korean cooking methods, food history, and tips to make dishes taste right. This wasn’t just about following a recipe, but about getting real insight into the food.
We made an ambitious range of seven classics, including three types of pancake, japchae, bibimbap, bulgogi, and gimbap, plus dessert.
I love to cook and this class was entertaining, inspiring, and taught me some new techniques. Yet it is also well suited to more beginner cooks in the class. It helped us know more about the street food and restaurant dishes we'd been seeing. And we got to eat all the dishes with some drinks with enough leftovers to take home, along with a nice tote bag and cookbook of the recipes as a gift!
If you want a personal, high-quality, and authentic immersion into Korean cuisine, book this class. Seriously inspiring. We loved it! 💯"

"I had such a great time at Olivia’s brunch Korean cooking class today. The setting was small and intimate with only five people, my parents included, which made everything feel personal and relaxed. We cooked eight different dishes, and somehow every single one turned out delicious.
Olivia was wonderful. She is insightful, patient, and great at breaking things down in a way that makes you feel confident about recreating the dishes at home. I also appreciated how she explained the science behind the cooking and why certain steps matter.
If you are thinking about joining a class, I highly recommend it. Come ready to learn and definitely come on an empty stomach. You will cook a lot, eat a lot, and walk away with a much better understanding of Korean food."

"I highly recommend this cooking class. Ely is a wonderful instructor. A great cooking studio set up. The ingredients were already sliced and packaged. Elly made it easy to learn the method and explanation for each dish. Absolute beginners need not worry as the steps are well paced and you have great supervision. We made 7 courses with ease. The food is delicious and we get to sit down to enjoy the whole meal at the end. Dessert was also included. You also get all the recipes in a booklet to take home. This was my second time doing the class. I enjoyed it so much the first time a few months ago. I came back with my teenage daughter on a family trip this time and she loved it! We met other lovely travellers; solos and couples.
Definitely worthwhile to do Seoul Cooking club class."
