What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
This location is widely reported as a tourist trap, with many visitors claiming it sells non-Etude products at inflated prices. While some staff are described as kind, the sales tactics are often aggressive, leading to customers feeling scammed. Refunds are difficult to obtain.
"Like everyone else I walked in thinking this is an official Etude. It's not. They tell you Etude products on the shelf are no longer in production and push you onto other products from a brand that is not Etude, but they will tell you it's a sister brand. They distract you with a lot of talk to make you forget what questions you should be asking. They give you lots of (cheap, non-Etude) freebies to seem nice. They do not give you a proper receipt. I spent $400 here even though I only bought 4 things. I went online after and couldn't find any information about the products.
I filed a chargeback with my credit card company and won. I recommend anyone who has dealt with this place does the same. It is a place that intentionally preys on tourists and if your card has good travel protection they will help you. Good luck."

"Please avoid this store 🙏 I went to only purchase lip gloss. But the sales lady kept asking to try another skincare product and told me it promotion you get free items. I got scammed and charged $ 400 for products that are not of etude brand. I will not use these as cannot even find this Forensia brand online to trust it. Need a refund but don't know how to explain due to language barrier."

"I wished I read the other reviews first! Be aware of a fast shuffle by at least one sales person. I wanted to buy a mascara as mine was drying. She tried to get me to buy the latest by showing me the 360 wand. She said I had to buy 2 as that was the promo. When I said i just wanted one, she claimed to give me discount and charged me 24000 won. However, she gave me a different mascara without the 360 wand and probably not Etude. The one I got was listed as 16000. She simply grabbed one and rang me up. I didn’t realize until I opened the box that it was not the one I wanted. It’s not worth heading back but this seems highly unethical."
