What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gogit Bar is a popular choice for its unique solo-friendly KBBQ concept and excellent value, especially during lunch. While the meat quality receives mixed reviews, the abundance of free side dishes and the affordable pricing make it a worthwhile experience for many. Some diners note minor service issues and the challenging grill size.
"One-liner: The lunch specials are reasonably priced.
Because the food is so cheap, don't expect the quality of the meat.
Taste: This restaurant offers rice bowls with frozen pork belly that you grill yourself. I had the Gochujang Samgyeopsal Rice Bowl. It's a bibimbap with pollack roe and salted seafood, but it doesn't quite live up to its name.
The rice bowl itself is fine, but the harmony with the frozen pork belly is questionable. That's why I ate the meat separately.
Don't expect much from the meat. I mixed it with various seasonings.
I ate it with pepper, meat sauce, and ssamjang.
Amount: I had the lunch special. It was 7,900 won. This restaurant offers great value for money. 7,900 won is the price of a rice bowl. But they also serve meat.
I think it's a great value for money.
Atmosphere: Overall, it's a Japanese-style restaurant. There's a water purifier at each table, and food comes out on a container belt. It reminds me of Uobei Sushi in Shibuya.
However, the container belt is covered, so you can't see the food coming from afar.
Other: It's great for eating alone, and the variety of vegetables, side dishes, and soups are nice.
Grilling meat alone is a special treat.
Above all, the low price is the reason I gave it five stars.
And I added meat (3,900 won)."

"Self-service grilling. The Wagyu is delicious! The rest is okay, and I just missed the side dishes. It was an interesting experience, though."

"The meat itself isn't bad for the price, and the side dishes are excellent. Other franchises with the same concept are disappointing because they don't offer ssamjang, garlic, or onions, but this one offers unlimited kimchi, ssamjang, garlic, onions, and a variety of sauces. However, the soup lacks any seasoning. I don't eat rice, but the lack of rice is also a bit disappointing. Having to bring your own drinks is a major drawback. Soju is okay, but even though they say they serve draft beer from a machine, I'm hesitant to order. And the most disappointing part is that, whether it's a part-timer or a staff member, they're wearing AirPods while working, and while the customer next to them is burning their meat because they're not cooking it properly, they don't seem to care. Instead, an older person from the kitchen is checking on the customers to make sure they're doing a good job. The grill itself is so small and low that even people with experience grilling meat find it difficult to cook it well (there's no staff assistance at all)."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
However, keep in mind that the grills are small and low, which might require close supervision for younger children. While the side dishes are plentiful, the main focus is grilled meat, so ensure your kids are adventurous eaters. The lack of a dedicated kids' menu means you'll be ordering from the regular menu.
💰 Budget Travelers
Even for dinner, the prices are very reasonable, especially when you consider the unlimited side dishes. You can easily have a filling and delicious meal for a fraction of the cost of other KBBQ places. Just be prepared to bring your own drinks if you want to save more, as outside beverages are allowed.

This thoughtful design ensures a comfortable and convenient dining experience for individuals. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a go-to spot for a satisfying and personalized meal.
Value and Affordability
While the meat quality might not be top-tier Wagyu, it's perfectly acceptable for the price point. The ability to add extra meat for a small fee (around 3,900 won) further enhances the value. The generous offering of unlimited side dishes like kimchi, ssamjang, garlic, and onions also contributes to a filling and satisfying meal.
Atmosphere and Service
Service can be a mixed bag, with some reviews mentioning staff wearing AirPods or seeming inattentive, while others highlight helpfulness from kitchen staff. The small, low grills can be challenging to use effectively, and there's limited staff assistance for grilling. However, the overall ease of ordering via tablet and the self-service aspects contribute to a low-pressure dining environment.
