Gunpla shopping guide in Seoul, Korea (updated November 2018)
#What’s changed? - Changed the location info of Gundam Base Yongsan - Added a few more shops and removed one - Some editing for readability purposes - Moved the frequent buyer programs to its own section I’m going to model this post after /u/CantTtumpSrump’s post on Hong Kong,…

Recently visited Gundam Base Yongsan in Seoul amazing displays but so many things were sold out :(
The place ends up being more of a Gundam museum than a place to buy kits with how many out of stocks there are. TBF most of the kits that are out of stock are High Grades from several years ago, but it’s still a shame for some like the Master Grades

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about The Gundam Base's massive selection of Gunpla and exclusive kits, calling it a must-visit for fans. However, some express disappointment with frequent stock shortages, noting many sold-out signs despite the store's size. The revamped store is praised for its modern layout and variety of Bandai products.
"I visited after they renewed the store, so the place looks completely different from the old store.
The new store is much bigger and carries so much stock of bandai products. There are now dedicated sections of the store for bandai's products, such as the massively expanded gachapon section, the tamashi spot seoul, bandai card games, ichibankuji, etc.
Of course, they carry gunpla and gundam-base exclusive products, to which there were so many to choose from at the time I visited.
I kind of miss the appearance of the old gundam base compared to this new store, but it is now more in line with bandai's other stores across the country.
I can strongly recommend this new place so long as they can maintain good stock because the stock situation before the renewal was very disappointing."

"If you're a fan of Gundam and Gunpla, you MUST go here.
This isn't a Satellite Shop, this is The Gundam Base from Korea.
After the renovation, they got a huge stock of Gundam Base Limited, like RG Perfectibility, RG Mechanical Core, RG God Hyper Mode, etc. They basically have everything. The price are really good, a little bit more expensive than Tokyo, but it's ok.
They showcase almost every kits, which is pretty cool !"

"Went on 19 Apr 2025, shelfs was fully stock. However popular items are still out of stock
Was able to find MG Perfect Strike that I could find previously in Taipe and Tokyo Gundam Base."
