What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Incheon International Airport is widely praised for its cleanliness, efficiency, and modern facilities, often ranking among the world's best airports. Travelers appreciate the extensive amenities, helpful staff, and excellent transport links to Seoul. However, some find certain areas cramped due to heavy passenger traffic, and communication with some staff can be challenging for non-Korean speakers.
"I found Incheon International Airport to be immaculately clean, very efficient and well organised. It had a lot of good and useful amenities and really catered well to busy and tired travellers. I particularly liked that toilets and dirnk refill stations were plenttiful and well spaced throughout the airport. All staff we interacted with were helpful. Signs were also helpful in guiding travellers. I would say that this airport is one of the better ones I have been to."

"Beautiful airport and very well maintained. Also beautifully decorated. Those travelling from overseas, make sure to register your K-ETA preferably 2 weeks prior to departure.
Pros
- Very well maintained
- Beautifully decorated
- Well connected all modes of transport
Cons

Overall, nothing much to complain about this airport."
Edmund Ng
"Incheon Airport overall has a nice environment — it’s generally clean and organized. However, due to the heavy passenger traffic, many areas feel quite cramped. For example, the food waiting area on the second floor is often overcrowded, with lines stretching to the stairs and elevator entrances. The signage and guidance are also poorly designed, which adds to the confusion.
That said, the airport does have some good facilities for children, and waiting areas are reasonably comfortable. The bigger issue is that many staff members from Korean airlines can only speak Korean — very few can communicate clearly in English, Chinese, or other languages. For an international airport, this is definitely not enough. When flight delays happen, there’s often no one who can properly explain the situation. In addition, some staff seem quite reserved or hesitant to communicate, which feels problematic in a service industry. Overall, the experience is okay but definitely could be improved."
